In the golden autumn of October, a season brimming with abundant harvests, and in order to further ignite the work enthusiasm of frontline employees and enhance their job-related skills, the company’s second Employee Skills Competition was successfully held on October 29, 2019, at the company’s factory, thanks to the meticulous organization and careful planning of the Party branch and the trade union.
In light of the company’s production realities, this skills competition features three events—empty‑container handling, “spot‑the‑difference” loading and unloading, and forklift operation—each divided into preliminary and final rounds. The event has been warmly embraced by employees, with nearly 100 representatives from the production workshops and the logistics center enthusiastically signing up to participate.

The theme of the skills competition is “Promoting Learning, Training, and Performance Through Competition.” To ensure the fairness and impartiality of the event, the organizing committee has developed a comprehensive plan that sets out detailed guidelines on participation requirements, judging criteria, scoring standards, and other relevant matters, while also assigning specific roles and responsibilities to all on-site staff.
In the workshop’s “empty‑box packing” competition, each participating employee must complete the empty‑box packaging of 49 outer cartons within the allotted time, testing their dexterity and proficiency in coordinating hand–brain operations. At the logistics center, the “spot‑the‑error” loading/unloading skills contest requires contestants to identify, within a set time limit, all cartons that are short‑filled among 15 randomly stacked packages, emphasizing both resilience and meticulous attention to detail. Meanwhile, the forklift‑operation skills challenge assesses drivers’ ability to maneuver forward and reverse around obstacles. In all events, the winner is determined by the shortest completion time and the lowest rate of rule violations or errors.

Through fierce competition marked by relentless rivalry among the participating employees, each of the three events awarded multiple first-, second-, and third-place winners. All participants who did not place received consolation prizes. Although rankings were determined, the scores remained remarkably close, underscoring the exceptional professional skills and expertise of all competitors.

The organization of the skills competition has fostered a strong work environment among employees—characterized by emulation, striving for excellence, and learning from one another—further boosting their enthusiasm for acquiring new skills, honing their capabilities, and contributing to the company. This initiative has comprehensively enhanced the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the workforce. Employees have expressed that such events not only showcase their technical prowess but also ignite their passion for work, and they hope the company’s trade union will organize and host more activities of this kind.
