In June, as early summer is in full swing and the peak mid-year production season has just concluded, in order to further boost the work enthusiasm of frontline employees and enhance their job-related skills, under the meticulous organization and careful planning of the company’s trade union, 2024 year 6 The company’s fourth employee skills competition was successfully held at the new factory on Zidong Road, Beeflower.


In line with the company’s actual production conditions, this skills competition comprises seven events: laboratory sample weighing, viscosity measurement, material‑dispensing weighing, forklift operation, loading and unloading, folding flower boxes, and bag removal. Given the large number of participants, the event is divided into preliminary and final rounds. The theme of the skills competition is “Promoting Learning and Development Through Competition, and…” “Competition drives action.” To ensure the fairness and impartiality of the competition, the organizing committee has specially formulated a detailed plan for the skills contest, providing thorough regulations and explanations on event requirements, judging criteria, scoring standards, and other matters, while also assigning specific roles and responsibilities to all staff members at the venue.


The workshop flower‑folding box‑unwrapping competition requires each contestant to complete the prescribed tasks within the allotted time; it tests the participants’ dexterity and proficiency in coordinating hand and mind. The warehouse forklift skills contest primarily assesses drivers’ abilities in safe, courteous operation and in handling cargo with proper procedures. Meanwhile, the quality‑inspection lab’s sample‑weighing event, the quality‑control department’s viscosity‑measurement challenge, and the raw‑material warehouse’s material‑sorting and weighing competition all evaluate employees’ adherence to standardized operating protocols, accurate reading of instruments, and precise calculations—emphasizing both compliance with procedures and the capacity for fast, accurate weighing. All skill‑based events are timed as well as scored; in the event of a tie, the competitor with the shortest completion time and the lowest rate of rule violations is declared the winner.



After a fiercely competitive showdown among the participants, first-, second-, and third-place winners were crowned in each of the seven events, while all those who did not place received consolation awards. Although rankings were determined, the competitors’ performances were remarkably close, underscoring the exceptional job‑specific skills and expertise of the employees involved.

The organization of the skills competition has fostered a strong work environment among employees, characterized by emulation, learning, striving to catch up, and surpassing one another. It has further boosted their enthusiasm for acquiring technical expertise, honing their capabilities, taking the lead, and making meaningful contributions, thereby comprehensively enhancing the cohesion and combat effectiveness of the workforce. Employees have expressed that such events not only showcase their skills but also ignite their passion for work, and they hope that the company’s trade union will organize and host more activities of this kind.
