On December 7, the Shanghai Beeflower Expert Workstation’s 2023 Annual Technical Symposium was successfully held in the company’s conference room, with attendance from senior management, all members of the R&D team, and expert professors from Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. The meeting featured an in-depth discussion on the application of bioactive components from traditional Chinese herbs in the specialized field of scalp care.

At the meeting, Bee & Flower’s R&D team presented the latest progress of their collaborative project, highlighting research findings on the active ingredients of a traditional Chinese medicine formulation for dandruff control and oil regulation in hair‑care products. Gu Jinwen, Chairman of Bee & Flower, expressed his hope to deepen cooperation with the professor’s team, leveraging market demand and consumer feedback to develop scalp‑care products that better meet consumers’ needs. By integrating the team’s expertise in the efficacy‑enhancing herbal ingredients of traditional Chinese medicine, they aim to strengthen the scalp’s barrier function, restore a healthy scalp condition, improve the scalp’s micro‑ecological environment, and address various scalp issues arising from imbalances in the scalp milieu—thereby enhancing hair quality at its root.
Following the meeting, Chairman Gu renewed the technical advisory engagement agreement with the three expert professors, expressing anticipation for in-depth collaboration and further strengthening the university–enterprise partnership model based on complementary strengths, resource sharing, and mutual benefits.
